The Many Benefits of Daydreaming
1. Love Yourself.
Instead of trying to convince others how wonderful you are. Remind yourself. Always love yourself, if you can do this you can get through anything.
2. Take Care of Your Emotional Wounds
When you are hurt or sad, take care of yourself. Soothe and comfort your wounds. You are worth it.
3. Celebrate your unique self
Don't be ashamed of who you are embrace the individual uniqueness that is you. Accept yourself as you are. if there is something you wish to change, trust that you will do so when the time is right.
4. Set Boundaries
Expect to be treated with a certain amount of respect and dignity. If others can't give you that much, it might be time to create some distance. Don't let those who berate or insult you get inside your head. Make sure you also treat others with dignity and respect.
5. Forgive Yourself
When you make mistakes, learn from them and forgive yourself. You are human and you have flaws just like everyone else, so be compassionate.
6. Don't destroy others self-esteem and your own self-esteem will thirve.
Reject the urge to gossip, tease, criticize etc...
Correct yourself from engaging in petty behavior.
Sometimes we feel compelled to do this simply to bond with others. Resist the urge.
Being mean is the enemy of self-esteem. When you are mean to others it is so much easier for your mind to be mean to you too.
7. Don't compare yourself to others.
There is always someone better, there is always someone worse. Focus on your own strengths.
You yourself as much as anybody in the entire universe deserves your love and compassion.
